Request for Proposal
The intent of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to seek proposals (Submissions) from parties (the Proponents) experienced in the supply and delivery of AWWA C200 steel pipe to supply and deliver lined and coated steel pipe for a sewer forcemain.
Only companies that meet the minimum qualification criteria outlined in this RFP will have their submissions evaluated.
Proponents submitting a Submission shall demonstrate their experience in manufacturing steel pipe for sewer forcemains or potable water to AWWA C200, of nominal 900 mm diameter (36 in) and above. In addition, the Proponents shall demonstrate experience in application of polyurethane coating and lining to AWWA C222. The Proponent shall also provide its Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program to demonstrate its experience.
The following is a high level summary of anticipated pipe requirements:
• Nominal Pipe Sizes: 900 mm (36 in)
• Coating/Lining: Polyurethane coated, Polyurethane lined
• End Types: Bevelled, Bell and Spigot
• Wall Thicknesses: varies – minimum 6.35 mm (0.25 in) for bell and spigot pipe and 12.7 mm (0.5 in) for bevelled pipe.
• Pipe Lengths: 18.3 m (60 ft) each pipe, total lengths of 1700 m of bell/spigot pipe and 1150 m of bevelled pipe.
• Delivery Point: At various locations to be determined within a 20 km (12 mile) distance from the work site in Mission, BC, Canada
• Pipe Storage Capacity: Up to 12 months of storage of materials prior to installation on site.
• Additional Requirements: Section 02532, 05090, and 09800 for steel pipe (Attached)
The Proponent shall demonstrate its ability to supply its nominated pipe diameters and wall thicknesses by providing a list of supply contracts within the last five years.
